I LOVED What Not to Wear back in the day! It really helped me figure out how to style my body, although it hurt to see some people’s quirkiness get quashed. I would watch the new show, but don’t want to give A* any of my money.
I’m also starved for actual critique, and loved this article, start to finish!💕 Thank you, Emilie, stay snarky!
totally agree - there’s one episode that really bugs me where the girl was extremely cute & quirky but they did away with all that to make her look like an ann taylor mannequin lolol. & thank you so much !!! your comments are always so kind & thoughtful
I hope Matthieu can infuse some freshness in Chanel, the second and last look at that runway image aren't bad at all, but the rest feels hopelessly lost and nothing outstanding and like they need to figure out who their customer base is and who they want to appeal to and maybe rebrand a teeny bit and maybe play around a bit more youthful. None of those looks feel "resort".
the behind-the-scenes photos of the models wearing the clothes made them look at better than they did on the runway, strangely ?? yeah, I agree. I can’t help but feel they need to go back to the marketing drawing board (literally) & map out audience personas for the good of the brand lol
I feel like another part of the problem is The runway styling just feels tired and cold. I feel like I just also miss when models would smile or show some personality. That’s not really all on Chanel though it’s an industry wide issue.
yeah I agree— the stone faces really emphasize how unplayful any of the looks are. if they want young people to wear a stiff tweed suit, at least make the women wearing it “look” like they’re having a good time in it
I am HERE and READY for some critiques from you. Coachella (in its former glory) is dead and gone RIP. It’s evolved into something else and it’s not bad per se but it’s not the status marker it once was. The fashion is also mostly tragic.
PS- Poor Benson Boone needs to go back to being a TikTok guy 🙊
Hi Emilee! That white skirt on you 🫶🦢! What size did you go with and what size are you usually? Thank uu!
Thank u ❤️❤️ The one I got was an XS :) my waist is pretty tiny (25in) Im usually a S or XS in pants depending on the brand :)
I’m also 5’7 with a short torso & longer legs.
Seems like Gap runs a bit bigger in pants (because im a 00 in the linen pants — which is crazy bc Im usually a 2 everywhere else) Hope that helps!!

THANK YOU 🫶🏻 Yeah it feels less like an event for the music now & more of one giant “brand activation” hahaha 🫠
