Fall Window Shopping: The RealReal Finds I Can't Afford

My wallet says no, but my heart says yes.

Having access to anything and everything on the internet is a blessing and a curse…

As seasons change, fall trend articles are published, and influencers clog your feed with the latest and greatest, it’s only natural to want to revamp your wardrobe. After all, even those of us who swear by not falling victim to the trend cycle have moments of weakness.

Like me… with the COACH Brooklyn Bag in Dark Ruby. I haven’t yet succumbed, but with each passing day, it gets more and more hard to resist.

How could you blame me? It fits EVERYTHING.

The world as we know it is being held up by overconsumption and each change of season seems to tighten its grip on us, making it impossible to resist the urge for something new every time a leaf changes color.

In honor of rejecting overconsumption and proving that I am a strong independent woman who doesn’t need to reach for my wallet, I'm here to share my favorite The RealReal finds in this fall edition of Window Shopping.

You may be asking… “Is she rejecting overconsumption or can she just not afford these pieces?” “Is she using that as a noble disguise to make it seem like a fantastical rebellion of sorts?” The answer to both of those questions is… no comment.

Let’s jump in.

Sweaters

Vintage Chanel 1999 Sweater

The structure of this wool sweater is a work of art — severe, off-the-shoulder, and sits perfectly at the hip. I would wear this one with a dainty choker, a skirt, and knee-high boots for that chic late-’90s, witchy look.

Optical Pinstripe Wool Turtleneck by Jean Paul Gaultier

This is a little something for those who enjoy a statement sweater (me)! I had saved it over a week ago because I love the naked illusion with the shadows, visible nipples, and belly button design — fast-forward to this week and Emma Chamberlain is featured in a JPG campaign wearing a similar nipple print, but hers a little less subtle. IT IS THE MOMENT.

This is one turtleneck you shouldn’t wear to the office… unless your office is just “cool like that,” then by all means. I’d pair this turtleneck with a long black maxi skirt—and high boots, keeping it 'conservative.’ Oh the irony!

Miu Miu Striped Sweater

The sweater of your dreams. Or nightmares. Become a Freddy Krueger fashionista with this piece. I’d definitely style this with a slim maxi or midi dress + some pointed heels to spice things up a bit and contrast with the oversized-ness.
